Handmade Ceramic "Sculpt XIII" Sculpture

Sculpt XIII is a one-of-a-kind coil-built ceramic sculpture by artist Zeynep Boyan. The sculpture series is a collection of one-of-a-kind sculptures built and textured by hand, encompassing pinch, coil, and slab methods, and high-fired in stoneware clay. With her work, Zeynep seeks to create something close to earth and nature. She is inspired by organic forms found in nature that reflect femininity, masculinity, fluidity, and everything in between. She focuses on creating biomorphic plasticity of form by using balance, tension, negative space, and movement as the main elements.
